My Work

Below are projects I’ve worked on in classes or projects I’ve made in my own free time for myself or others.

2 Letter Poster

This is a poster I designed for a project in my Introduction to Graphic Design class in October 2024. The goal of the project was to first combine a letter and a number, both of which need to be different typefaces, and put them together to create an abstract shape. However, it must be done in such a way that both are still recognizable as their own respective letterforms. Then we needed to show the combination alongside the individual letterforms used, the goal of the project, the fonts used, and a fact about the fonts. I chose to create the poster to appear like a playing card as I thought the two letterforms could serve well as the cornered card values.

Ogden T-Shirt Design

This is a t-shirt design I made for my brother’s birthday in May of 2023. Like me, he also worked at Classic Cinemas. The theater he worked at closed down a few years ago, so I made him this t-shirt to honor its memory.

Holiday Donuts Render

This is a 3D-modeled render of some donuts I made using Blender back around August 2024. I followed a tutorial by Andrew Price on YouTube to create it. I gained a lot of experience from making this as I was learning how to use Blender for the first time. Overall, I am happy with the way this render turned out.

Swedish Steve YouTube Banner

This is a YouTube banner I made for my friend, Steven, in December of 2024. He had been thinking about rebranding his channel from his previous name of “Seven Even Steven” to “Swedish Steve”. I requested to help him out by making him a new channel banner to strengthen the transition and his brand image. He primarily makes gaming videos and had an anime theme to his previous banner, so I used these as inspiration when creating the work.

2024 Election Results by Gender Poster

This is a poster I designed for a class project in my Introduction to Graphic Design class in November 2024. The goal of this project was to create a collection of 3 posters showing statistics from the 2024 election without showing bias and with a clear American identity. I chose to make the poster in a minimalist style with only the most vital instances of color and patriotic iconography to get the message across to the viewer without distracting from the information being given.

2024 Election Results by Belief Poster

This is another poster I designed for a class project in my Introduction to Graphic Design class in November 2024. The goal of this project was to create a collection of 3 posters showing statistics from the 2024 election without showing bias and with a clear American identity. I chose to make the poster in a minimalist style with only the most vital instances of color and patriotic iconography to get the message across to the viewer without distracting from the information being given.

Zoo Symbol

A symbol I designed for a class project in my Introduction to Graphic Design class in October 2024. The goal of the project was to make a symbol for an animal that would fit into the symbol system of the old Washington D.C. National Zoo symbols.

Zoo Symbol Poster

A poster I designed for a class project in my Introduction to Graphic Design class in November of 2024. The goal of the project was to show the process behind the creation of the zoo symbol that I had made in a previous project. I also needed to include information about the chosen animal, the armored rat, and create a catchy headline.

Tori

A photo I took and edited for my Introduction to Digital Photography class in November of 2024. The goal of the assignment was to create an abstract photo. To create this photo, I took a very close up shot of a chandelier and used a high depth of field. I think this photo turned out very well as it follows composition principles like the rule of thirds and balance.

Mario Kart

Another photo I took and edited for my Introduction to Digital Photography class in December of 2024. The goal of the assignment was to develop photos demonstrating a specific movement of photography. I chose the movement of toy photography as I have a history of creating stop-motion videos, of which I felt had a similar appeal. For this photo, I tried to make the figures feel as if they were really alive and moving. I did this through editing by blurring the background as well as adding an exhaust effect behind the karts.

Ghost Face

This is another photo I took and edited for my Introduction to Digital Photography class in December of 2024. The goal of the assignment was to develop photos demonstrating a specific movement of photography. I chose the movement of toy photography as I have a history of creating stop-motion videos, of which I felt had a similar appeal. I tried to make the figure feel life size by using a shallow depth of field, while also giving the photo a sense of unease with the figure lurking around the corner, and a subtle vignette on the edges.

Delorean

This is a photo I took and edited for my Introduction to Digital Photography class in December of 2024. The goal of the assignment was to develop photos demonstrating a specific movement of photography. I chose the movement of toy photography as I have a history of creating stop-motion videos, of which I felt had a similar appeal. For the photo, I tried experimenting with fire and lighting effects to make the car and the environment feel alive.

Prevail

This is a photo I took and edited for my Introduction to Digital Photography class in November of 2024. The goal of the assignment was to take photos that had a message of environmentalism, based on the New Topographics movement. For this picture, I really tried to use many methods to call the viewer’s attention to the subject.

Windows Gif

A gif I created for my Special Effects and Motion Graphics class in early 2023. The project entailed creating a gif that lasted about 10 seconds. We were encouraged to import and cut out photos in order to create the gifs, however, we were given a lot of freedom on what it could be. This gif was fun to make as it required messing around with a lot of elements like positioning, opacity, and rotation.

Tetris Gif

A gif I created for my Special Effects and Motion Graphics class in early 2023. The project entailed creating a gif that lasted about 10 seconds. We were encouraged to import and cut out photos in order to create the gifs, however, we were given a lot of freedom on what it could be. I chose to make the gif about Tetris as, for one, I thought the pieces would be easy to cut out, and because video games are important to me, so I try to reference them in my work whenever I can. Timing was also very important to learn about when it came to creating this gif.

Polybius Parallax Video

This is another video I made for my Special Effects and Motion Graphics class in early 2023. The goal of this assignment was to create a video displaying the parallax effect in Adobe After Effects. This one ended up being more involved than the previous ones as I had to do some color correction to make the arcade cabinet align correctly with both, the background, and the Polybius screen.

Legend of Zelda Parallax Video

This is yet another video I made for my Special Effects and Motion Graphics class in early 2023. The goal of this assignment was to create a collection of videos displaying the parallax effect utilizing tools in Adobe After Effects.

Space Parallax Video

This is a video I made for my Special Effects and Motion Graphics class in early 2023. The goal of this assignment was to create a video displaying the parallax effect in Adobe After Effects. This was done by separating and creating layers of an image. Then I pushed the camera forward and added a depth-of-field effect to create the illusion of parallax.
