My name is Hayden Patterson. I am a graphic designer working toward my bachelor’s degree at Aurora University in Illinois, and I will be receiving my degree in May of 2026. I earned my associate’s degree at Elgin Community College and took a semester at Columbia College Chicago to pursue a degree in film directing. I decided that my passions aligned more with Graphic Design, so I changed course to pursue a career in that field instead of film. I have many skills in the design field ranging from working with 3D software, 2D work, photography, motion graphics, and some video game design. A goal I have in this career is to work in the video game industry as I have a specialty in architecture level design.

I worked at Classic Cinemas as an usher/concessions employee for about two years. Shortly after this, I earned a promotion and became an assistant manager. Working at the theater gave me a lot of good experience in the working world, where I got to learn many aspects of the job. I gained many skills including teamwork, leadership, problem-solving skills, and overall job efficiency. Working required that I managed my time effectively, communicated efficiently, and compromised.
