Fabyan Windmill Poster
I made this project while working for Kane County Forest Preserve in the Summer of 2026. The purpose of this project was to create a poster that could be displayed or posted online that advertises the Fabyan Windmill. I created variations of the poster in a few different sizes as requested by my supervisor.
Poster Size (24’’ x 36’’)
For the design of the poster, I decided to base it on the vintage national park posters. This style fits well with Kane County Forest Preserve’s branding aesthetics and fits with the goal of the project being to advertise the windmill. This 24’’ x 36’’ poster size is the original size I created the design around. Because of this, I think the spacing and framing of the elements in the poster works the best.
Flyer Size (8.5’’ x 11’’)
This 8.5’’ x 11’’ flyer size was designed to be used for printing out flyers. We also used this size when posting online with its more compressed file size being better for social media.
22’’ x 24’’ Size
This 22’’ x 24’’ flyer size was designed to be used printed out and hung on the board in the lobby of our building. I adjusted the elements of poster to fit this size by adding more to the sides to fill the space.
