East Aurora Counseling Sign
This is a sign that I designed, purchased, and had installed during my internship at East Aurora Counseling. I created the design in October of 2025, and it was installed in November that same year. The goal of the project was to design an outdoor sign for EAC’s main site that would communicate the company’s brand values. The sign must also be visible from a far distance and be eye-catching.
The finished sign is pictured here. I am very happy with the way that this turned out. I think the design fulfills the goals of the project, with it being eye-catching with the large maroon wing symbol and bold black lettering of the text.
This is a picture of the old sign that our building used. I was tasked with creating a new design to replace this one. This is due to the sign being in a weathered state after being in use over several years, exposed to the elements.
This is one of the first design drafts I created for the sign. I tried to deisgn the sign with the branding of the company in mind using thier primary colors, fonts, and minimalist aethethics. To capture people’s attention, I made the text and logo big and bold.
After sharing my initial designs with my supervisors, they offered a few suggestions. I made these changes such as making the design more symetrical, and making the spanish text more prominent. Another addition I made was to add a stroke to the lettering to beter match the brand’s logo and to make the text bolder.
This is the final design that I created for the sign. After once again consulting my supervisors, they made the decision to remove the address information so the sign could be resued for future locations. In addition to this I cleaned up the design by making the wings logo bigger, giving it comfortable space. I also reduce the size of the spanish title to be the same size as the “Counseling LTD” text so this was still a prominent feature, but allowed more space for the logo to share prominence as well. This also creates nice symmetry with the top, middle, and bottom text.
