Pollution Solution Flyer
This is a flyer I designed during my internship at Kane County Forest Preserve as a marketing/communications intern. I made it in May of 2026. The purpose of this flyer was to promote our new volunteer group, Pollution Solution. The group cleans up different preserves and waterways in the Kane County area. The poster required details of what the group was about, as well as where they were meeting and contact information.
In terms of the design, I tried to incorporate elements from othe flyers by Kane County Forest Preserve like the fish and photos of the preserve. I also added the Kane County Forest Preserve logo to increase brand recognition. The blue circle and fish elements are supposed to give the idea of a river, one of the main areas that the group would be helping clean up.
Another thing I had to keep in mind for this flyer, was printing. I was instructed to use as much white space as possible, create half-sheet versions, and make black and white versions. All of these factors helped reduce the amount of paper and ink used up when printing the flyers for marketing events.
