Toy Photography
These are photos that I captured and edited for my Introduction to Digital Photography class in December of 2024. The goal of the assignment was to develop photos demonstrating a specific movement in photography. I chose the movement of toy photography as I have a history of creating stop-motion videos, of which I felt had a similar appeal.
Mario Kart
For this photo, I tried to make the figures feel as if they were really alive and moving. I did this through editing by blurring the background as well as adding an exhaust effect behind the karts.
Ghostface
In regard to this photo, I tried to make the figure feel life-size by using a shallow depth of field, while also giving the photo a sense of unease with the figure lurking around the corner, and a subtle vignette on the edges.
Delorean
For the photo, I tried experimenting with fire and lighting effects to make the car and the environment feel alive.
